          Karanlık Kilise

          The valley of Soganlı
          The valley of Soganli, located at ten km of Ürgüp, is the fruit of the volcanic activity of the area. This deep valley with the walls à.pic is traversed by the river of the same name. Cones of tuff (rock made up of lava, ash and mud) are drawn up on each bank. Some are clutched with middle height of the slopes and form a kind of barrier between the accessible banks of the bottom of the valley and abrupt cliffs of the top where no vegetation pushes.

          UNDERGROUND CITIES
          The dwellings were under ground. Their opening resembled that of a well, but the interior was roomy. There was for the cattle of the entries dug out of ground; people went down by scales. In these dwellings, there were goats, sheep, cows, poultry and the small ones of these animals. All the cattle was nourished of hay inside. There were also corn, barley, vegetables and wine of barley in craters. The barley grains even swam on the surface and there were blowtorches without nodes inside, the ones larger the others smaller.           Maziköy is a refuge city dug in a cliff. 5 stages are opened to the visitors. (All the tunnels not being cleared yet, the real depth remains unknown.
